A delightful fusion of classic cheeseburgers and crispy egg rolls, perfect for gatherings or a cozy night in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 6 egg roll wrappers
  • 1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and diced onions. Cook until the beef is browned and the onions are tender, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in the ketchup, mustard, salt, and black pepper until well combined. Allow the mixture to cool.
  3. Mix in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. Lay an egg roll wrapper flat on a clean surface. Spoon a generous amount of the beef and cheese mixture onto the lower third of the wrapper. Roll tightly and seal edges with beaten egg.
  5. Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry egg rolls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Drain fried egg rolls on paper towels. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Ensure the oil is hot enough to prevent greasy egg rolls. You can also bake the egg rolls at 400°F (200°C) for about 20 minutes as a healthier option.
