A comforting casserole featuring savory hot dogs, creamy cheeses, and crispy tater tots, perfect for weeknight dinners and gatherings.

  • 1 lb hot dogs, sliced into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (32 oz) bag frozen tater tots
  • Optional: chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish lightly.
  3. Sauté chopped onion in a skillet over medium heat until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add sliced hot dogs and cook until warmed through and slightly browned, about 5 minutes.
  5. Mix cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl until smooth.
  6. Stir the hot dog and onion mixture into the soup mixture along with half of the cheddar and mozzarella.
  7. Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  8. Layer frozen tater tots on top and sprinkle remaining cheeses over them.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  10. Garnish with chopped green onions, if desired, before serving.

Notes

Ensure not to overcook. You can prepare this casserole ahead of time and refrigerate it before baking.
