  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl. Mix until smooth.
  3. Crack in the eggs one at a time, whisking fully after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder in another bowl.
  6. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Drop balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set and centers remain soft.
  10. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
