A delightful mix of fresh fruits and crunchy vegetables in a creamy dressing, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups diced tart apples
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1 cup grapes, halved
  • 1/2 cup toasted walnuts or pecans, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Begin by taking your diced apples and placing them in a large mixing bowl. Sprinkle the sugar and lemon juice over them and toss everything to coat well.
  2. Next, add the diced celery, halved grapes, and toasted nuts to the bowl with the apples.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the whipping cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold in the mayonnaise until well combined.
  4. Now, fold the whipped cream mixture into the apple mixture, adding the kosher salt and adjusting the seasoning to your liking.
  5. For the best flavor, chill the salad for about an hour or, if time allows, overnight in the refrigerator.
  6. When you’re ready to serve, dish it up plain or creatively present it on a lettuce leaf.

Notes

Add a teaspoon of honey to the dressing for extra sweetness or substitute Greek yogurt for mayonnaise for a healthier spin.
