Tender and crispy chicken tenders coated in a cheesy, crunchy crust—perfect for any meal or gathering.

  • 1 pound chicken tenders
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup crushed cornflakes
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Cooking spray or oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Combine 1 cup of buttermilk, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, 1 teaspoon of paprika, and salt and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add 1 pound of chicken tenders to the marinade and let sit for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Mix together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of crushed cornflakes, and 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese in another bowl.
  5. Remove the chicken from the marinade, dredge in the flour mixture, pressing to coat evenly.
  6. Lay the coated tenders on the baking sheet and lightly spray with cooking spray or drizzle with oil.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and crispy.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For a healthier option, consider using whole wheat flour or almond flour, and you can also air-fry these tenders.
