  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam or preserves
  • Fresh strawberries (diced, optional)
  • 2024 wonton wrappers
  • Water (for sealing the edges)
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • Whipped cream (for serving, optional)
  • Extra strawberry jam or sauce (for serving, optional)
  • Fresh strawberries (sliced, for serving, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and strawberry jam. Whisk until smooth and creamy. Fold in diced fresh strawberries if desired.
  2. Assemble the wontons: Lay out the wonton wrappers on a clean surface. Place a spoonful of cheesecake filling in the center of each wrapper.
  3. Seal the wontons: Wet the edges of each wrapper with water, fold it in half, and press tightly to seal.
  4. Fry the wontons: Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the wontons in small batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  5. Serve: Present warm, garnished with whipped cream, drizzled with extra strawberry jam, and adorned with fresh strawberry slices.
