A decadent cake inspired by the beloved snack treat, featuring rich chocolate layers and creamy fillings for a delightful dessert experience.

Ingredients

  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cream cheese, softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 stick of margarine, softened
  • 1 container of Cool Whip
  • 1 can of chocolate icing
  • 2 tablespoons of milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the cake mix box.
  2. Prepare the chocolate cake mix as directed on the box.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Bake the cake until done, and cool completely in the pan.
  5. In a large bowl, beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and margarine until smooth and creamy.
  6. Add Cool Whip and milk, beating until fully combined.
  7. Slice the cooled cake into squares, then halve each square horizontally.
  8. Spread a generous amount of filling between the layers of each square.
  9. Place the tops back on each square carefully.
  10. Spread chocolate icing over the top of the cake squares.
  11. Refrigerate for at least one hour to set.

Notes

For best results, let cream cheese and margarine sit at room temperature for easy blending. Don’t skip the cooling time to maintain the cake’s integrity.
