Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup hot fudge sauce
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a loaf pan by greasing it lightly with butter or lining it with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
  4. In a separate bowl, crack the eggs and beat them gently. Add the melted butter and milk, followed by the vanilla extract.
  5. Gently fold the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until just incorporated.
  6. Pour the hot fudge sauce into the batter and fold it in.
  7. If using chocolate chips, add them now and mix.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
  9. Bake for 45-50 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  10. Once baked, let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes
