A delightful twist on traditional fries, Louisiana Voodoo Fries are infused with bold flavors and spice, topped with a creamy voodoo sauce for a mouthwatering experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large russet potatoes, cut into fries
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce (to taste)
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Wash and peel the russet potatoes, if desired, then cut them into even-sized fries. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. Toss the cut fries with olive oil until evenly coated. Add Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Spread the seasoned fries evenly in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  4. Prepare the voodoo sauce by combining mayonnaise, ketchup, hot sauce, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, smoked paprika, minced garlic, and cayenne pepper in a bowl.
  5. Remove the fries from the oven and transfer them to a serving platter. Drizzle with voodoo sauce or serve it on the side.
  6. Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the top. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.

Notes

Ensure the potatoes are well-dried before baking for maximum crispiness. Soaking fries in water for 30 minutes can also enhance texture.
