A delightful combination of creamy sweetness and vibrant citrus, reminiscent of classic orange creamsicles in a smooth cheesecake form.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups of graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1/4 cup orange gelatin (Jell-O)
  • 1 teaspoon orange extract

Instructions

  1. Begin by preparing the crust. In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and sugar. Stir in the melted butter until the crumbs are evenly coated. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan or pie dish to create a sturdy base. To ensure it holds together nicely, chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until it’s smooth and creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  3. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Carefully fold this whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture, which adds incredible lightness to the cheesecake.
  4. Next, fold in the fresh orange juice, orange zest, orange gelatin, and orange extract. Mix gently until everything is well combined, creating a vibrant and tangy filling for your cheesecake.
  5. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the chilled crust and smooth out the top with a spatula. Transfer the cheesecake back to the refrigerator and allow it to set for at least 240 minutes, or ideally overnight, to achieve the perfect texture.
  6. When ready to serve, you can garnish with additional orange zest or a dollop of whipped cream for that extra touch of elegance.

Notes

Use a microplane for zesting the oranges for better flavor extraction. Adjust powdered sugar for sweetness preference.
