  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Additional chopped pecans for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix the yellow cake mix according to package instructions, adding the eggs and water.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and slide it into the oven.
  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  5. Cool for about 10 minutes before poking holes with a wooden spoon.
  6. Combine the sweetened condensed milk and caramel sauce until smooth.
  7. Drizzle this mixture over the warm cake, letting it seep into the holes.
  8. Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  9. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  10. Spread the whipped cream over the chilled cake and garnish with chopped pecans and caramel sauce.
