  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 cup chocolate pudding, prepared
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the package instructions. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  2. Make the whipped cream by combining heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip until stiff peaks form.
  3. Cube the cooled cake into 1-inch cubes.
  4. Layer the trifle by starting with chocolate cake cubes, then adding chocolate pudding, whipped cream, and sliced strawberries alternately.
  5. Add the final layer of whipped cream on top and garnish with chocolate chips and drizzle of chocolate syrup.
  6. Chill the trifle in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours before serving.
