A blissful dessert featuring juicy peaches topped with a golden, crumbly cake-like topping, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 8 medium peaches, sliced (about 8 cups)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup salted butter, melted
  • A pinch of cinnamon sugar
  • Vanilla ice cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Butter a 9×13 pan.
  2. Toss the sliced peaches with granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, and lemon juice in a large bowl.
  3. Pour the peach filling into the buttered pan.
  4. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the peach filling.
  5. Pour the melted butter over the cake mix.
  6. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
  7. Bake for 60 to 75 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding lemon zest or crushed nuts. Leftovers can be reheated in the oven.
