Turkey and Spinach Stuffed Shells

Delicious jumbo pasta shells stuffed with a flavorful mixture of ground turkey and fresh spinach, baked in marinara sauce and topped with gooey mozzarella cheese.

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 jar marinara sauce
  • 20 jumbo pasta shells, cooked and drained
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and add ground turkey. Cook until browned.
  3. Add minced garlic, spinach, and oregano to the turkey and cook until spinach wilts.
  4. Combine the turkey-spinach mixture with ricotta and 1 cup of mozzarella in a bowl.
  5. Stuff each cooked pasta shell with the filling and arrange in a baking dish.
  6. Pour marinara sauce over the stuffed shells and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella.
  7. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for 5 more minutes.
  8. Let the dish rest for a few minutes before serving hot.

Notes

Ensure pasta shells are cooked al dente to prevent overcooking during baking.
