  • 1 pound ground chicken or turkey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups bok choy, chopped
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling: In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken or turkey, soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, and minced garlic. Mix until well blended.
  2. Form the wontons: Place a teaspoon of filling in the center of a wonton wrapper, moisten edges, fold to form a triangle, and seal.
  3. Cook the wontons: In a large pot, bring chicken broth and water to a boil. Gently add wontons and cook for 5-7 minutes until they float.
  4. Add the vegetables: Stir in bok choy and mushrooms, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until tender.
  5. Season the soup with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve: Ladle the soup into bowls and garnish with sliced green onions. Enjoy!

Notes

For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes or chili oil. You can freeze assembled wontons for later use.
