A fusion of rich chocolate and luxurious cream in layers of decadent chocolate cake, velvety cheesecake filling, and ethereal whipped cream.

Ingredients

  • 1 package of chocolate cake mix
  • ½ cup of Baileys Irish Cream
  • 2 cups of softened cream cheese
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1 ½ cups of heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • ½ cup of mini chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup of shaved chocolate for garnish
  • 2 cups of whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instructions or use a homemade recipe.
  2. Cool the baked cake completely before cutting it into cubes.
  3. Combine softened cream cheese and powdered sugar in a medium bowl until smooth.
  4. Pour in heavy cream, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract, then use an electric mixer to beat until airy.
  5. Fold in mini chocolate chips for an added chocolatey burst.
  6. Layer chocolate cake cubes in a trifle dish, drizzling Baileys over each layer.
  7. Spread a layer of cheesecake mixture on top of the cake cubes.
  8. Repeat layers until the dish is filled, finishing with the cheesecake mixture.
  9. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle shaved chocolate on top.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, consider using sugar-free cake mix or Greek yogurt to reduce calories.
