Balsamic Steak Gorgonzola Salad with Grilled Corn

A flavorful salad featuring grilled sirloin steak, creamy Gorgonzola cheese, fresh basil, and grilled corn, perfect for summer dining.

  • 1 lb Sirloin steak
  • 2 tbsp Basil leaves
  • 1 cup Cherry tomatoes
  • 1 Corn on the cob
  • 2 heads Endive lettuce
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic powder
  • 6 cups Mixed spring greens
  • 1 tbsp Lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp Parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 Red onion, thinly sliced
  • 5 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper, ground
  • 1/2 tsp Coarse salt
  • 1 Dash Salt and fresh ground black pepper
  • 13/16 cup Extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 oz Gorgonzola cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Season the steak with coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  3. Grill the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side to desired doneness. Let it rest.
  4. Prepare the corn on the grill until cooked and lightly charred, about 10 minutes.
  5. Make the vinaigrette by whisking together balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, garlic powder, lemon zest, and olive oil.
  6. Assemble the salad with mixed greens, halved tomatoes, sliced onion, and grilled corn.
  7. Finish with sliced steak, crumbled Gorgonzola, and chopped herbs.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with extra lemon zest if desired.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality steak and allow it to rest after grilling.
