A moist and indulgent cake blending the natural sweetness of ripe bananas with crunchy walnuts, perfect for any occasion.

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. Whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
  3. Cream the softened butter and brown sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, blending well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract, then add the mashed bananas, combining until just blended.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
  7. Fold in the chopped walnuts gently.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  10. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
