Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add 1 lb of ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Set the cooked beef aside on a plate, allowing some of the fat to remain in the pan.
  4. Toss in the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until soft and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add the diced potatoes to the skillet and stir gently.
  6. Cook for about 10-15 minutes until they start to soften and are golden around the edges.
  7. Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet, along with 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper.
  8. Pour in 1 cup of beef broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet to release any flavorful bits.
  9. Cover the skillet and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes on low heat.
  10. Garnish with a sprinkle of chopped parsley before serving.
