A delightful, creamy appetizer that combines rich cheeses with a crunchy pecan coating, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 ounces Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1 Jar Old English Cheese Spread
  • 1 1/2 Cups Cheddar Cheese, sharp or medium, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 2 teaspoons Lemon Juice
  • 2 Tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 2 Cups Pecans, chopped fine
  • 1 Tablespoons Parsley, fresh, chopped
  • Crackers for serving

Instructions

  1. Finely chop the pecans and set them aside, ensuring they’re ready for coating later.
  2. In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients: softened cream cheese, Old English cheese spread, grated cheddar, garlic powder, onion powder, lemon juice, mayonnaise, and some salt and pepper. Stir together until smooth and well-mixed, ensuring an even distribution of flavors.
  3. Once combined, form the cheese mixture into a ball using your hands, and place it on a large piece of saran wrap. Wrap it tightly and shape it to retain the ball form.
  4. Place the cheese ball in the fridge for about 10-15 minutes to help it firm up.
  5. Meanwhile, mix the chopped pecans and parsley together on a plate.
  6. Once chilled, unroll the cheese ball and place it on the mixture of pecans and parsley. Roll it around in the nuts, gently pressing them into the surface to create an even coat.
  7. Serve the cheese ball immediately with a selection of your favorite crackers.

Notes

For a spicier kick, consider adding a dash of cayenne pepper or a few dashes of hot sauce to the cheese mixture before forming the ball.
