  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. Whisk together 2 1/4 cups of flour, 2 tsp baking powder, and 1/2 tsp salt in a medium bowl.
  3. Beat 1 cup of softened butter and 1 cup of sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add 4 large eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in 1 tsp vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients, alternating with 1/2 cup whole milk, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in 1 1/2 cups of fresh blueberries until evenly distributed.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  9. Mix together 1/2 cup flour, 1/4 cup sugar, melted 1/2 cup butter, and 1 tsp cinnamon for the crumb topping until crumbly.
  10. Sprinkle this topping over the batter.
  11. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  12. Allow the cake to cool for a few minutes before serving.
