A delightful dish combining Cajun spices and honey with perfectly seared salmon fillets, bathed in a luscious honey butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless), fresh and vibrant
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • Fresh chopped parsley for garnish
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  2. Sear the salmon: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon fillets and sear for about 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  3. Make the honey butter sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the unsalted butter, minced garlic, and honey. Stir until the butter is melted.
  4. Combine the flavors: Return the salmon fillets to the skillet and spoon the honey butter sauce over them. Simmer for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Serve it up: Plate the salmon, drizzle with leftover sauce, and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

Ensure your skillet is hot before adding the salmon for a perfect sear.
