Cheeseburger Egg Rolls are a delightful fusion of American flavors wrapped in a crispy shell, perfect for snacks or appetizers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 6 egg roll wrappers
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and diced onions, sautéing until the beef is nicely browned and the onions are tender, approximately 5-7 minutes.
  2. Drain excess fat from the skillet.
  3. Stir in ketchup and mustard. Add salt and black pepper, stirring until well combined.
  4. Mix in cheddar cheese, folding it in with the beef mixture.
  5. Assemble egg rolls by laying a wrapper flat and spoon a generous amount of the beef and cheese mixture onto the lower third.
  6. Roll the wrapper tightly over the filling, folding in the edges as you go, and seal the edges with beaten egg.
  7. Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Fry egg rolls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  9. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For best results, drain excess fat from beef and ensure oil is at the correct temperature before frying.
