A comforting dish that combines the flavors of a cheeseburger with the convenience of a pie, perfect for the whole family.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 (9-inch) refrigerated pie crust
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • Pickles (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Line a 9-inch pie pan with the pie crust, pressing it into the corners and trimming any excess.
  3. Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it up as it cooks until browned.
  4. Add the chopped onion and garlic, cooking until the onion is soft, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper. Set aside to cool.
  6. Whisk together the eggs, milk, and flour in a separate bowl until smooth.
  7. Stir in the melted butter, ketchup, and mustard.
  8. Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly into the pie crust.
  9. Sprinkle both cheddar and mozzarella cheeses over the beef.
  10. Pour the egg mixture over the cheese and beef.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, until golden brown and set in the center.
  12. Let the pie cool for 10 minutes before slicing and garnish with pickles if desired.

Notes

Let the cooked beef mixture cool slightly before adding it to the egg mixture to prevent scrambling.
