Cheesy Meatball Pasta Bake

A deliciously hearty dish that combines tender meatballs, gooey cheese, and perfectly cooked pasta in a flavorful marinara sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 8 oz cooked penne pasta
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix the ground beef with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Form the meat mixture into mini meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add oil.
  4. Brown the meatballs in the skillet until fully cooked.
  5. Combine the cooked penne pasta with marinara sauce, half of the shredded mozzarella, and all of the grated Parmesan in a large bowl.
  6. Add the cooked meatballs to the pasta mixture and fold gently.
  7. Transfer the mixture into a baking dish and top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
  8. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 20 minutes.
  9. Remove from the oven, garnish with parsley if desired, and serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding chopped onions or bell peppers to the meat mixture or substitute different cheeses.
