A delightful dessert that blends rich chocolate flavors with the creamy texture of cheesecake, perfect for family gatherings and special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup non-alcoholic chocolate-flavored cream
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 box (15 oz) chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed
  • 1/2 cup chocolate shavings
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth. Gradually mix in the chocolate-flavored cream and vanilla extract, ensuring everything is well incorporated and creamy.
  2. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Take care not to over-beat; you want it light and fluffy.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until just combined.
  4. Start the layering process by placing half of the crushed chocolate sandwich cookies at the bottom of a trifle dish.
  5. Next, spread half of the cheesecake mixture over the cookie layer.
  6. Repeat the layering with the remaining cookies and then top with the remaining cheesecake mixture.
  7. Cover your trifle and refrigerate it for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  8. Before serving, garnish with chocolate shavings and fresh mint leaves.

Notes

Letting the trifle sit overnight enhances the flavor, and using a clear serving dish showcases its layers. Avoid over-mixing to maintain a light texture.
