A delightful dish featuring tender chicken cutlets enveloped in a rich, creamy basil-infused sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¾ cup dried Italian breadcrumbs
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh basil
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set aside.
  2. Slice each chicken breast in half horizontally to create four cutlets and flatten to about ½-inch thickness.
  3. Dip each cutlet into milk, then roll in breadcrumbs until covered.
  4. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat and add chicken cutlets, cooking for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Transfer the chicken to the greased baking dish and bake for about 10 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds, then pour in the chicken broth and bring to a gentle boil.
  7. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream, letting it simmer until thickened. Mix in Parmesan cheese, basil, and black pepper until smooth.
  8. Plate the chicken and top with the basil cream sauce.

Notes

Ensure chicken is evenly flattened for consistent doneness and preheat the skillet for a crispy crust.
