A creamy and tangy cheese ball made with dill pickles, cream cheese, and cheddar, perfect for entertaining.

  • 2 (8 oz) blocks cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped dill pickles
  • 2 tbsp pickle juice
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill (or 1 tsp dried)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup crushed Ritz crackers or chopped pecans (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Mix the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, dill pickles, and pickle juice in a large bowl.
  2. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, chopped dill, and green onions.
  3. Combine thoroughly until a creamy mixture forms.
  4. Shape the mixture into a ball using your hands.
  5. Wrap in plastic wrap if desired, and refrigerate for at least 60 minutes to firm up.
  6. Roll the cheese ball in crushed Ritz crackers or chopped pecans to coat.
  7. Serve with crackers, pretzels, or veggie sticks for dipping.

Notes

Let cream cheese soften to room temperature before mixing for easier blending. Can be made a day ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
