A delightful and sophisticated appetizer featuring a luscious blend of creamy feta and ricotta, complemented by a sweet and spicy honey drizzle.

Ingredients

  • 7 ounces of feta cheese, crumbled
  • 3.5 ounces of full-fat ricotta cheese
  • 1.5 ounces of full-fat sour cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 5 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, finely minced
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon of crushed red chili flakes
  • Chopped chives for topping (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon of za’atar for topping
  • 1 teaspoon of black and white sesame seeds for topping
  • Pita chips, naan, or raw veggies for serving

Instructions

  1. Ensure the feta, ricotta, and sour cream are at room temperature.
  2. Combine the crumbled feta, ricotta, and sour cream in a food processor. Season with salt and pepper. Blend on high for 2-3 minutes until smooth.
  3. Heat olive oil in a small saucepan over low heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Stir in honey, lemon juice, and crushed red chili flakes. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Spoon the whipped feta into a serving bowl and drizzle with the spicy honey mixture. Top with chives, za’atar, and sesame seeds.

Notes

Consider adding fresh herbs or smoked paprika for extra flavor. Adjust honey for sweetness.
