Creamy Ranch Chicken is a delightful dish featuring succulent chicken breasts in a rich ranch-infused creamy sauce, perfect for busy weeknights or special occasions.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (58 oz. each)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 3 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup low sodium chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 (1 oz.) packet ranch seasoning mix
  • Fresh parsley, to garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: Pound the chicken breasts to an even 1” thickness and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear the chicken: Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil, and sear chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Set aside.
  3. Create the sauce base: Reduce heat, add remaining butter, and stir in flour, cooking for about one minute to create a roux.
  4. Add chicken broth gradually while scraping up browned bits from the pan for flavor.
  5. Incorporate milk, sour cream, onion powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and ranch seasoning mix, stirring until combined.
  6. Simmer the chicken in the sauce for a few minutes until heated through and sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Serve: Plate the Creamy Ranch Chicken and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
