Rich and savory jumbo pasta shells stuffed with a creamy blend of ricotta cheese and ground beef, topped with marinara sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 20 jumbo pasta shells
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about one minute until fragrant. Remove from heat.
  4. Combine ricotta, mozzarella, ½ cup Parmesan, beaten egg, parsley, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  5. Stuff each jumbo shell with the beef and cheese mixture and place them in the baking dish.
  6. Create a sauce by mixing marinara and heavy cream, then pour over the stuffed shells.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of Parmesan on top.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden.
  9. Let cool for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, sauté chopped onions with the garlic. Substitute ground beef with turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
