  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and mashed
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (for the strawberry swirl)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Combine the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
  2. Pour the creamy blend into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions for about 20-25 minutes.
  3. Heat the mashed strawberries, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and lemon juice in a saucepan over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until syrupy. Allow to cool.
  4. Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and drizzle the cooled strawberry swirl over the ice cream, gently mixing with a knife.
  5. Freeze for at least 240 minutes to firm up.
  6. Serve in bowls or cones and enjoy!
