A delightful dessert that combines rich red velvet cake and creamy cheesecake layers for a visually stunning treat.

  • 1 box red velvet cake mix
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
  • Fresh raspberries for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the red velvet cake mix according to package instructions.
  3. Pour the mixture into a 9×13-inch pan and bake until a toothpick inserted comes out clean (25-30 minutes).
  4. Let the cake cool completely and cut it into 1-inch cubes.
  5. Beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  6. Add vanilla extract and blend well.
  7. Whip the heavy cream and sugar until stiff peaks form.
  8. Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
  9. Layer the cake cubes and cheesecake filling in a trifle dish.
  10. Top with optional mini chocolate chips and fresh raspberries.
  11. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Ensure the cake is completely cool before cutting to maintain structure. For fluffier whipped cream, keep the cream very cold.
