  • 12 oz mozzarella cheese sticks
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Marinara sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Begin by cutting the mozzarella cheese sticks in half.
  2. Next, set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and a mixture of breadcrumbs, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Dip each cheese stick in the flour, then the eggs, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Freeze the breaded cheese sticks for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  6. Fry the cheese sticks in batches for about 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown.
  7. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve warm with marinara sauce.

Notes

For extra flavor, use seasoned breadcrumbs or add Parmesan cheese to the breadcrumb mixture. Double breading can achieve an ultra-crispy texture.
