A delightful treat featuring crispy exterior and tender, juicy chicken, perfect for families and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable or canola oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken into 1-inch pieces and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. In a shallow bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and garlic powder.
  3. In separate dishes, pour buttermilk and panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Dredge chicken in the seasoned flour, then dip in buttermilk, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a pot to 350°F (177°C).
  6. Fry chicken in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with extra salt if desired.
  8. Serve hot with dipping sauces.

Notes

Pat chicken dry for crispy coating and fry in batches to maintain oil temperature.
