  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
  • Cooked pasta or crusty bread for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine the boneless chicken breasts, pour in the chicken broth, and stir in the marinara sauce.
  2. Sprinkle the Italian seasoning and garlic powder over the mixture, adding salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Cover the slow cooker, setting it to low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  4. Remove the cooked chicken from the pot and shred it with two forks.
  5. Return the shredded chicken back to the pot, then stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese.
  6. Serve the soup hot, garnished with fresh basil if desired and with pasta or crusty bread.
