A rich, indulgent dessert that promises to satisfy chocolate cravings with its moist chocolate cake and luscious ganache.

  • 1 box Devil’s Food cake mix
  • 1 box (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup sour cream or buttermilk
  • 3/4 cup brewed coffee
  • 2 cups Nestlé Toll House chocolate chips
  • 1 stick salted butter
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/2 box powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 cup pecan pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish by greasing and flouring it.
  3. Combine the Devil’s Food cake mix and instant chocolate pudding mix in a large bowl.
  4. Add the eggs, vanilla extract, vegetable oil, sour cream or buttermilk, and brewed coffee, mixing until smooth.
  5. Incorporate the Nestlé Toll House chocolate chips into the batter.
  6. Pour the cake batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  7. Prepare the ganache by melting salted butter and stirring in cocoa powder, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk.
  8. Drizzle the ganache over the cooled cake and sprinkle with pecan pieces.

Notes

For intensified chocolate flavor, use dark chocolate cocoa powder. Optional: add whipped cream or ice cream on top.
