A delectable chocolate cake infused with Butterfinger candy bars, perfect for gatherings or a simple indulgence after dinner.

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Butterfinger candy bars, chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup Butterfinger candy bars, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan.
  2. Combine the chocolate cake mix, sour cream, melted butter, water, eggs, and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Fold in the chopped Butterfinger pieces.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool the cake in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack.
  7. Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan and pour it over the chocolate chips.
  8. Stir until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
  9. Drizzle the frosting over the cooled Bundt cake.
  10. Top with additional chopped Butterfinger pieces and let the frosting set before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, substitute dark chocolate chips or drizzle melted peanut butter on top before the frosting sets.
