A delightful ramen dish with a thick and flavorful sauce perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 2 packs Instant Ramen Noodles
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon chili paste or sriracha (optional)
  • Minced garlic
  • Minced ginger
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or water
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional)
  • Chopped green onions for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a vigorous boil.
  2. Add the instant ramen noodles and cook according to package instructions, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Drain the noodles and set them aside.
  4. Mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and minced ginger in a bowl.
  5. Transfer the sauce mixture to a small saucepan with chicken broth or water, and bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat for 3-4 minutes.
  6. If thickening the sauce, mix cornstarch with a couple of tablespoons of water, then add it to the saucepan while stirring continuously.
  7. Toss the cooked ramen noodles into the saucepan and coat evenly with sauce.
  8. Serve in bowls and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Optional ingredients can be adjusted based on your preference. Add garnishes generously for enhanced flavor.
