Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup of coconut flakes
  • 1 container of whipped topping
  • Pastel-colored candy eggs
  • Green food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, prepare the yellow cake mix according to the package instructions, mixing in the eggs, vegetable oil, and water until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
  4. Allow the cake to cool for 10-15 minutes and poke holes across the surface with a wooden spoon handle.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the sweetened condensed milk with green food coloring (if using) and pour it over the holes.
  6. Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours to allow flavors to set.
  7. Once chilled, spread the whipped topping evenly over the cake and sprinkle coconut flakes on top.
  8. Finish by decorating with pastel-colored candy eggs.

Notes

For a faster option, have all ingredients measured and ready. Letting the cake cool at room temp before refrigerating can enhance texture.
