Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 packs of instant ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)
  • 8 cups chicken broth
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons chili paste (or to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon mirin (optional)
  • 1 cup sliced green onions
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 2 boiled eggs, halved
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional toppings: sliced jalapeños, sesame seeds, lime wedges, cilantro

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken thighs in soy sauce, sriracha, and black pepper for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a skillet, heat vegetable oil and cook the marinated chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until cooked through. Remove and let rest before slicing.
  3. Sauté minced garlic and grated ginger in the same skillet for about 2 minutes.
  4. Add chicken broth and bring to a simmer, stirring in chili paste, sesame oil, and mirin. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
  5. In another pot, cook ramen noodles according to package instructions for 2-3 minutes and set aside.
  6. In a small saucepan, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant, then stir in heavy cream and simmer until slightly thickened.
  7. Add sliced chicken, cooked ramen, and bean sprouts to the broth, mixing gently.
  8. Serve in bowls, topped with creamy garlic sauce and optional toppings like jalapeños and cilantro.

Notes

If time allows, marinate the chicken longer for enhanced flavor. Adjust spicy elements according to heat preference.
