  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Gruyère or Swiss)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced onions, stirring frequently for about 15-20 minutes until they caramelize.
  3. Mix in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Brown the beef stew meat in a separate pot over medium-high heat, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  5. Combine the caramelized onions with the beef in the pot.
  6. Pour in beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and dried thyme, stirring gently.
  7. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 60 minutes.
  8. Prepare egg noodles according to package instructions.
  9. Stir in the cooked noodles and top with shredded cheese; cover to let melt.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired before serving.
