An exquisite dish that elevates skirt steak with the rich flavors of garlic and butter, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs skirt steak
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 tsp garlic, minced
  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Prepare the steak: Start by trimming the skirt steak to fit your skillet, then pat it dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the skillet: In a large skillet, heat a small amount of oil over medium-high heat until it’s hot and shimmering.
  3. Cook the steak: Add the seasoned skirt steak to the skillet, allowing it to brown undisturbed for about 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Once done, transfer the steak to a cutting board to rest.
  4. Make the garlic butter: In a separate skillet, melt the butter over low heat. Quickly add in the minced garlic, stirring gently until golden brown.
  5. Slice and serve: After the steak has rested, slice it against the grain, drizzle the garlic butter over the steak, garnish with parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

For intensified flavor, consider marinating the steak before cooking. A splash of lemon juice can brighten the garlic butter.
