Garlic Butter Lobster Bites with Saffron Mash

A delightful and aromatic experience with tender lobster meat in garlic butter paired with creamy saffron-infused mashed potatoes.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lobster meat, cooked and chopped
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 large potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1/4 teaspoon saffron threads
  • 1/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Bring a saucepan of water to a rolling boil. Once boiling, add the diced potatoes and simmer until tender, about 15 minutes.
  2. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. In a small bowl, steep the saffron threads in 2 tablespoons of hot water for about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the saffron-infused water, milk, butter, salt, and pepper to the potatoes. Mash everything together until smooth and creamy.
  4. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat until bubbly. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Fold in the chopped lobster meat, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the lobster is heated through.
  6. Serve by spooning saffron mash onto each plate and topping with garlic butter lobster bites and fresh parsley.

Notes

Avoid overcooking the lobster to keep it tender, and steep saffron properly for the best flavor.
