A delightful dish combining tender chicken, savory soy sauce, and aromatic garlic, perfect for family gatherings or quick weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and optional red chili flakes. Stir until well blended.
  2. Coat the Chicken: Toss chicken pieces in cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. Heat the Oil: In a skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
  4. Cook the Chicken: Add the coated chicken to the hot oil. Cook undisturbed for 3-4 minutes, then stir until the chicken is cooked through and golden, about 6-8 minutes.
  5. Add the Sticky Sauce: Pour the marinade over the cooked chicken and let it simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Prepare the Noodles: Cook your noodles according to package directions, drain, and toss with a little oil.
  7. Combine Chicken and Noodles: Gently add the cooked noodles to the skillet, stirring to coat.
  8. Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, and enjoy.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
