A delectable dessert that combines traditional cheesecake with the rich flavors of German chocolate cake, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and prepare a 9-inch springform pan by greasing it and lining the bottom with parchment paper.
  2. Combine chocolate cookie crumbs with melted butter in a bowl until it resembles wet sand. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. Bake the crust for about 10 minutes, then let it cool.
  4. Beat cream cheese and granulated sugar together until smooth, about 2-3 minutes. Add vanilla and melted chocolate, mixing well.
  5. Incorporate eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Pour the batter into the cooled crust.
  6. Bake for 50 to 55 minutes until edges are set and the center jiggles slightly. Let cool in the oven for 1 hour.
  7. Refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  8. Prepare the topping by cooking pecans, coconut, sweetened condensed milk, and heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat until thickened, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in melted chocolate.
  9. Spread the coconut-pecan mixture over the chilled cheesecake and serve.

Notes

Allow chiffon time for chilling to enhance flavor and texture. Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature to avoid lumps in the batter.
