  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Chopped fresh parsley for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Combine ground beef, panko breadcrumbs, egg, steak sauce, ketchup, mustard, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Shape the mixture into 16-20 meatballs.
  5. Bake for 16-20 minutes or until cooked through.
  6. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat; add mushrooms and cook until golden, about 5-7 minutes.
  7. Melt the remaining butter in the same skillet and whisk in flour, cooking until lightly golden.
  8. Whisk in beef broth, then add tomato paste and Worcestershire sauce, cooking until thickened.
  9. Return cooked mushrooms to the skillet and stir to combine.
  10. Add the baked meatballs to the gravy, warming through to absorb the flavors.
  11. Serve topped with gravy and garnish with parsley.

Notes
