Juicy grilled chicken breasts topped with vibrant salsa verde and melted pepper jack cheese, perfect for a quick and flavorful meal.

  • 4 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup salsa verde
  • 1 cup pepper jack cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, season the chicken breasts with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the seasoned chicken on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until cooked through.
  4. In the last 2 minutes, spoon salsa verde over each chicken breast and sprinkle with pepper jack cheese. Close the lid to melt the cheese.
  5. Remove the chicken from the grill and garnish with fresh cilantro if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For deeper flavor, marinate the chicken before grilling. You can also try different cheeses or add jalapeños for extra heat.
