Deliciously crispy puffs combining creamy mashed potatoes and gooey cheese, perfect for snacks or appetizers.

  • 2 cups mashed potatoes (prepared and cooled)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the prepared and cooled mashed potatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, eggs, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until all the ingredients are thoroughly blended.
  2. Next, stir in the chopped fresh parsley to add flavor.
  3. Now form the mixture into small balls or puffs using about a tablespoon of mixture.
  4. Once all the puffs are formed, roll each one in breadcrumbs to coat evenly.
  5. In a deep frying pan, heat oil over medium heat.
  6. Carefully fry the puffs in batches for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Using a slotted spoon, remove the puffs from the oil and allow to drain on paper towel.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce!

Notes

You can prepare the mixture in advance and refrigerate until ready to use. For a healthier option, consider baking them.
