A delicious and colorful dish combining marinated beef with vibrant vegetables over warm rice.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak or skirt steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 avocado, sliced
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp gochujang
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, minced garlic, rice vinegar, grated ginger, and a pinch of salt and pepper in a large bowl.
  2. Add the thinly sliced beef into the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Prepare your white rice according to preference and keep it warm.
  4. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Remove the beef from the marinade and cook for about 2 to 3 minutes per side until nicely browned.
  6. Assemble your dish by layering warm rice in a bowl or plate first.
  7. Arrange the grilled beef slices on top of the rice.
  8. Add cucumber slices and creamy avocado on top.
  9. Finish by drizzling with gochujang and sprinkling sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
